Biography

Efrain Irizarry Alvarado Alvarado is a partner of the Firm and member of the Tax Department. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1997 and his B.B.A., magna cum laude, in 1990 from the University of Puerto Rico.

His practice focuses on Puerto Rico, local and federal taxes, and tax incentives and exemptions. He is a Registered Notary and a non-practicing Certified Public Accountant.

He is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been a speaker at several business organizations. Mr. Irizarry is admitted to practice in all courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the United States Tax Court.
